If you ever receive an unfair penalty and you think it was not your fault, please follow these instructions to submit a penalty appeal.
Penalties are intended to discourage people from quitting an online game without finishing. This can be really annoying for other players who have to wait for the system to replace you with a bot. It’s bad online gaming etiquette. If you do this, you will receive a penalty, your rank will be decreased and if you have too many penalties you will not be able to join certain tables, and other players may block you.
Penalties are only temporary and will be removed automatically after several days if there are no further infractions.
However, there are times when the system may charge you with a penalty in error, or there may be special circumstances that were beyond your control. If this happens, you can submit an appeal, and if approved the penalty will be removed and your rank will be restored.
1. From the main menu of the Pinochle App click on the Stats button
2. On the Stats Screen select the Online Tab. If you have any penalties they will be listed below.
3. Click on the Info button (small round gray “i” button) next to the Recent Penalties stats
4. Click on the Submit Appeal button (note you can only submit one appeal at a time. If you already submitted an appeal this will be grayed out).
5. Select a Reason for Appeal from the drop down and type any comments you wish the admin to consider
6. Wait for the site Admin to review your appeal.
