Please!? If I'm driving don't freaking ever pass the lead to me with a noncounter. Why would you think it's somehow cool to pass the lead to the driver with a jack?? Most of the people playing pass with jacks and most of you are wrong
Hello from Sporthappy.
not working
I have noticed more than half the players I play don't seem to realize there is more to cutthroat pinochle than setting the person who took the bid. I just played a game where one person kept feeding the leader points even after the other player who took the bid was already set and would have been behind the leader even if they saved (in other words, they made setting the bidder more important than losing the game and just added to the leaders lead by feeding them points.) This player can only see the set and doesn't understand the strategy in this game... Let me try to explain it to this type of player in a way they might understand.
You have to take the score and meld of each opponent into account each hand... then do the simple task of adding both players score and meld together, then take into account how powerful each player's shown hand is... after you do this, you make the determination on who is your partner... oh wait, you didn't realize in cutthroat it is ALWAYS 1 vs 2... most hands you are playing with a partner, and many of those hands your partner is the one who took the bid.
I know a bunch of you are going "duh" but the problem is, at least half the people I have played so far don't seem to know this, or at least, don't pay attention to the score...
